Today, we went for our final inspection of a new, maple, pre-finished solid wood floor that Kevin just finished. It is absolutely beautiful and the craftsmanship is obvious. This was a pretty large job, about 1200 square feet of flooring. He did the work all himself.

I have installed three large flooring projects myself and I know the work that goes into it to get it looking right. I am not easy to please in regards to woodworking. Just ask the major flooring store in Fond du Lac that I had tear out their absolutely awful install of flooring at this same new house before I found Kevin. I was lucky that they had enough integrity to take it all out and not make me sue them for devaluing my new house.

I live too far away from my new house to do the work myself and so I had to find someone to do the install of the flooring. One of my sons found the Swartwout Solutions website and Kevin Swartwout was one of three others that I contacted. The other three were all part timers from a list I got at Menard’s and all gave me bids much higher than Kevin. I also wanted someone that had a regular business and was local. I met with Kevin at my house and he took measurements and we talked for quite a while. It seemed to me that he knew what he was doing and we were on the same page as far as details and workmanship.

Kevin sent me to his flooring supplier and we picked out what we wanted. It was delivered within a week and within another week Kevin had started on our project. Since we had already been burned once, we stopped by two times and checked the progress to make sure of the workmanship. We had nothing to worry about. Kevin is a craftsman and you can count on him to be honest and fair. After all this, Kevin even came in a little under the price we had paid this major flooring store in Fond du Lac. We went from a floor that was absolutely awful to a floor that is absolutely beautiful. We will love that floor every time we look at it. If you can imagine a jewel in a crown, that is our new floor in our new house.

I highly recommend Kevin Swartwout for any flooring project you might have in mind. I would also assume that his workmanship would apply to all parts of his business.
